
Brent Hanson of LasikFraud.com Found Guilty of Contempt, Ordered to
18 Months In Texas Jail - Flees State
It is amazing when someone ignores the power of the courts.
Brent Hanson of LasikFraud.com was sued by a Texas refractive surgeon William Boothe, MD because of defamatory acts by Hanson against the doctor. Under court order, Hanson agreed to stop saying anything about this doctor to anyone.
Immediately after agreeing to the court order, Hanson created multiple websites with more defamation against this doctor . Using eGold accounts and offshore web hosts, Hanson attempted to hide ownership of the websites created in direct violation of a court order.
The court found Hanson in contempt on three separate acts and ordered him to pay a fine of $500 for each, plus 180 days in jail for each, to run consecutively. That is a total of $1,500 in fines and 540 days in jail.
