Lauranell H. Burch (aka Nell
Burch) has admitted that she is the owner of
TheLasikFlap.com. Burch used a false identity when registering
the domain in an attempt to hide her responsibility
for the website. These facts were revealed in a deposition
required by
Glenn
Hagele's
lawsuit against Ms. Burch for publishing his private
identity information.
TheLasikFlap.com, and its predecessor
LasikFlap.com, is a website that has published
Glenn Hagele's personal identity, including Social Security
number, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, etc.
In response to a court order, the domain registrar has
blocked access to TheLasikFlap.com website.
In addition to publishing Glenn Hagele's Social Security
number, TheLasikFlap.com is filled with statements that
appear to be defamatory against many doctors and members
of the medical community. Sworn admission of ownership
of the website, which is hosted in Panama as an apparent
attempt to escape US law, will likely expose Dr. Burch
to a host of litigation.
