On many occasions in multiple Internet forums, Brent Hanson and Lauranell Burch (aka Nell Burch) have falsely claimed that Glenn Hagele refused to pay child support. This is an outrageous misrepresentation of despicable proportion.
Due to felonious fraud, the amount of child support for Glenn Hagele to pay originally adjudicated in 1990 was inaccurately inflated. The office of the Sacramento District Attorney was immediately notified by Glenn Hagele of the fraud. Glenn Hagele continued to pay the appropriate amount of child support while authorities investigated the fraud.
The perpetrator was subsequently convicted of felony fraud.
Subsequent to conviction of the perpetrator of the fraud, the District Attorney reviewed the records and determined that the original amounts of child support were in fact inappropriately inflated due to that fraud. Unfortunately, California state law limited the District Attorney's ability to change accrued arrears that had accumulated due to the fraud. As required by law, a lien was issued against Glenn Hagele, however the District Attorney never attempted enforcement of the lien.
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed into law the authority required for the District Attorney to recalculate child support that was inaccurate due to fraud, such authority becoming effective in January 2003. With the new law enacted that allowed the District Attorney to act, Glenn Hagele petitioned the court to re-evaluate the child support issue in this case. Upon recalculation, the District Attorney determined that all appropriate child support amounts were, and had always been, paid in full by Glenn Hagele. The court ordered that all support had been paid, all arrears were removed, the previously issued lien was withdrawn.
The court had already made this determination, which is a part of the public record, and had released the erroneous lien before Brent Hanson and Lauranell Burch started using to use a mean-spirited manipulation of the unfortunate victimization of Glenn Hagele in their propaganda against him.
Glenn Hagele was a victim of felonious fraud, he had always paid the appropriate amount of child support, and these facts have been finally affirmed by the courts. For CyberBullys to infer that Glenn Hagele is a deadbeat dad is an outrageous insult and manipulation of the facts.
